As a question, “how much will my website cost?” is a bit like “How delicious will my dinner be?”. The better the ingredients and the more care taken, the higher the eventual estimate of cost or enjoyment.
Without either (a) ridiculously under-estimating or (b) pricing things out of reach, it is difficult to estimate a price without knowing a lot of hard facts about content, style, and other preferences.
In order not to avoid the question, and to help with at least some kind of sensible guidance, experience shows that the following budget products are a reasonably good guide to costs. They’re a starting point for discussion, and an aiming point for budgets.
OK. We’ll take the design elements (Logo, photos, graphics, typefaces) that are used in your existing website and/or stationery, and build a custom WordPress theme design. We’ll install WordPress and the theme and you can add your own content through the WordPress interface. You need to have (or register through us) a domain name that can be hosted on our server, and provide your design elements in a digital format.
We’ll do the same as above, but we’ll design new elements for you (including a logo if needed). We’ll also register a domain name and host it on our server for you.
We’ll do everything that’s above, and set up a basic WordPress website including menu structure, response form(s), and import/layout of your existing content. It’s a complete transposition of your current promotional effort to a highly functional and smart WordPress website.
£400 is our starting price for a complete website package including all design elements, a WordPress theme, menus, new and existing content, domain name, hosting, and email service. We do everything including copy writing and graphic design.
